Kitchen: tonight's dinner, what's still needed and who's cooking. Android test build, sample household.

Start with tonight's dinner. Kitchen shows tonight's meal, what it still needs and whether someone has taken the cooking. Plans, groceries, the pantry and recipes are a tap away.

Unburden is a planner for couples and households that starts with dinner. Pick tonight's meal, see what's already in the kitchen and get a list for the rest. Cooking, leftovers and the week's small jobs sit in the same place, so the plan isn't stuck in one person's head.

From plan to plate

Once dinner is decided, the rest follows.

The meal you pick becomes the shopping list, the recipe on the counter and one less thing to work out tomorrow.

Shared, not shouldered

One plan, so nobody has to keep it all in their head.

  1. 1

    Who's cooking tonight?

Settled on the Kitchen screen, next to the meal, not in a text thread.

  2. 2

    What do we still need?

Whoever is at the store sees the same list, built from the meals you agreed on.

  3. 3

    What else is due?

Today and Life keep the week's jobs in view, and a job nobody has taken says so.

Each screen shows one person's view of a sample household. Planning together on two phones is still being tested. Shared expenses and money planning are planned for Unburden 1.0.

Where it stands

In development.

Unburden is in development and isn't available to download yet. The screens use a sample household on an Android test build; the cooking view is a phone-sized browser preview. A larger recipe collection is being prepared and isn't in the app yet.
