A place, a memory, a story

Memories belong somewhere.

A journal sorted by date loses the thing you actually remember: where you were. Pastport keeps each memory on the map, so a place can lead you back to it, and a trip can be read as one story.

Choose a place

Start from somewhere that matters.

Pick a country on your globe to see your note about it, then add a memory or a whole trip right there.

Keep a memory

Leave it unfinished if you need to.

Not every memory comes out in one sitting. Keep for later holds unfinished words on this phone until you save them, so you can come back when the words do. They aren't part of a backup until they're saved.

Read it back

Read the trip as a story.

Gather a trip's memories into chapters and read them back as a storybook edition, in the order things happened.

Coming back to it

Find it again by the place you remember.

You might not remember the month, but you remember the town. Search your Journal for a place, a moment or a phrase you wrote, and the memory or trip comes back. Anything you haven't finished is listed on its own, ready to resume.

Private by design.

No account: Pastport doesn't ask you to sign in. Your journal stays on your device.
Backups you hold: A backup is a file you save and import yourself. It keeps your journal and the links to your photos, but not the photo files or unfinished drafts.
Stories you can keep: Story editions are saved as text-only pages you can open in another app. Photo editions are switched off for now.

In development.

Pastport is in development and isn’t available yet. The screens come from an Android development build with a fictional sample atlas. A first check on a phone is done; checks with large text and screen readers are still to come.
