SteadyReps privacy.
SteadyReps stores your training on your device. It has no accounts and no SteadyReps servers, and it does not send your workout data to Trailmark Studios or anyone else. It uses no analytics or advertising, and its built-in crash-reporting library is switched off.
Overview
The short version.
SteadyReps stores your workouts, routines, records, and settings on your device. There is nothing to sign in to, and the app does not send your data to us. A copy leaves your device only when you export one yourself, or when Android's own device backup or phone-transfer feature includes app data under your settings.
What stays on your device
Your workout history, routines, custom exercises, personal records, and settings are stored in the app's private storage on your device. If you enter your body weight, it is optional and used only for on-device calorie-range estimates.
No accounts, no analytics, no tracking
SteadyReps has no accounts or sign-in, no analytics or telemetry, and no advertising or tracking. It does not send your workout data to Trailmark Studios or any third party.
The app includes the Sentry crash-reporting library, but it is switched off: it is not started and sends nothing. If we ever turn crash reporting on, we will update this policy and the app-store disclosures before releasing that version.
The app declares Android's standard internet permission, which Expo apps include by default. SteadyReps does not use it to send your data.
Android device backup
Android can include app data in your device backup. If backup is turned on in your Android settings, Android may copy SteadyReps data into the backup stored with your Google account, may copy it directly to a new phone when you transfer devices, and may restore it if you reinstall the app.
Android manages these backups, not SteadyReps, and Trailmark Studios cannot access them. Whether a backup is end-to-end encrypted depends on your Android version and settings; for example, Google describes end-to-end encrypted backups on Android 9 and later when a screen lock is set. You can review or turn off device backup in your Android settings.
No camera, microphone, or location
SteadyReps does not request camera, microphone, location, or contacts access.
Exports and deletion
You can export a backup file, a CSV, or a printable progress report through your device's share sheet to a place you choose. SteadyReps does not upload these files itself; if you send one to another app or service, such as a cloud drive or messaging app, that service's terms apply.
Clearing SteadyReps' storage in Android settings, or uninstalling the app, removes the data stored in the app on your device. Neither removes files you exported. A copy may also remain in your Android device backup until Android replaces or removes it; you can manage that in your Android or Google account settings. There is no SteadyReps account and no server-side data to delete.
Children
SteadyReps is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.
