Plantling · Privacy
Plantling privacy.
Plantling is local-first. Your garden, plants, care logs, journal, and photos live on your device — there is no account and no cloud sync. Reminders are local.
Overview
The short version.
Everything in your garden stays on your device. There are no accounts and no cloud. Optional crash reporting, if it is enabled in a released build, sends only diagnostic data — never your garden content or personal identifiers.
What stays on your device
Your plants, care logs and simulation state, journal entries, harvests, any photos you attach, and your settings are stored on your device. There is no account and no cloud sync.
Reminders
If you turn them on, care reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Plantling does not use push notification servers.
Photos
Photos you attach to plants stay on your device.
Optional crash reporting
Plantling can use Sentry to report crashes and errors. It is off unless a diagnostics key is configured for a build, and it is set not to send personal identifiers. If it is enabled, it sends only crash and error diagnostics — never your garden content.
No accounts, no ads, no tracking
Plantling has no accounts, no advertising, and no tracking, and it does not sell data. Apart from the optional crash diagnostics described above, your data stays on your device.
Backups and deletion
You can export your whole garden to a JSON file and restore it (replace or merge) from Settings › Backup; the file is local and you control it. Uninstalling Plantling removes its on-device data.
Children
Plantling is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.
